Apostle Francis Oppong-Ankomah, the Deputy General Overseer of Christian Faith Church International was offered a Scholarship during his M.B.A (UK) to pursue a PhD programme which was awarded him after he successfully defended his theses in the USA, in Human Resources Management (HRM), had the call of God at a tender age in September, 1977.
He became the School Prefect and leader of the afternoon Bible Study group that served cluster of schools like Nana Kobina Gyan, Nana Anaisie, New middle, Adiembra Girls etc.
At St Mary’s Boys Secondary Apowa, he became the Scripture Union President from form two to five where he was elected the School Prefect.
At the Sixth Form at St. John’s School, he was made the leader of the Scripture Union and the Assistant Head Prefect. A pioneer teacher of the Methodist Secondary School, Sekondi, he taught Economics, English Literature and Bible Knowledge from 1985 – 1987.
